AFRISILK UG is the fruit of the passion for African print and entrepreneurship that lives within us. We are Manuella and Asheh, two soul sisters who are incredibly proud of their rich culture.

We love fabrics, clothing and fashion, and we have always talked of creating something that represented us, our heritage, our background, our style. So, after a few years of brainstorming, we decided to

AfriSilk UG is a clothing brand and home of African inspired collections of refined essentials. But it’s more than just a brand— It all started with an unexpected encounter!

Growing up my sisters and I loved dressing up, especially for Christmas, Birthdays, weddings, or any party actually. However, we could literally go to bed with whatever we had on, haha! And it felt like everyone around me was doing the same.

Fast forward a few years—I met my soul sister, Asheh with whom we had quite interesting discussions. It was a game changer—We pride ourselves on our rich culture and diversity. We’ve loved creating something to showcase our cultural heritage while incorporating it into our daily style, and using our beautiful African prints to evoke feelings in people. Here’s, AfriSilk was born.

We truly believe that we feel even more confident and empowered when looking good in any occasion. Dressing up even for bedtime is an important ritual and ingredient for our personal quality time and self-care. Life is too short to always play it safe. We should dare and be bold enough. You’ll often hear us say #thelifewedeserve—We deserve the everyday luxury. And that’s what AfriSilk is all about!
